Why Bamboo Feels Different
Bamboo fiber is soft, highly absorbent, breathable, antibacterial, odor resistant and eco-friendly. The softness is the reason most buyers choose it - the hand feel is immediately noticeable on first touch.
Bamboo Is Natural and Needs Some Care
Because bamboo fiber is very soft and smooth, the pile can snag during washing or when it contacts sharp objects such as zippers, hooks, Velcro or rough nails. A pulled thread looks like a defect, but it is a normal characteristic of a very soft natural fiber.
Do not pull a loose pile loop. Cut it off with scissors and the towel continues to perform normally. Pulling it unravels the surrounding loops and creates a real hole.
Choosing the Right Construction
- 100% bamboo - maximum softness and absorbency, best for premium gift and spa positioning
- 70% bamboo 30% cotton - the cotton base adds dimensional stability and reduces cost while keeping a full bamboo skin-contact surface
- 92% bamboo 8% microfiber - the microfiber in the base significantly improves durability and wash resistance, the best balance for retail programs with high wash cycles
